SHIRLEY AS A TEACHER.
Shirley’s teaching career began in 2017 at Lasalle College in Montreal. Since then, she has taught a variety of classes, including pattern making, sewing and draping. Shirley has been in the sewing industry for over 30 years in costume and garment production, upholstery and has taken on various private jobs. In 2020, during the pandemic, Shirley took on 1:1 classes with private students from her home studio. In 2022, she opened her first professional sewing studio in Cornwall, Jaunaii studios. Her studio is open to all students looking to learn the building blocks of fashion design as well as its intricacies.

At Jaunaii Studio, we are dedicated to preserving the art of sewing and pattern making, so that future generations can continue to carry on these time-honoured traditions. We believe that everyone should have access to the knowledge and techniques necessary to create their fashion pieces. That's why we offer personalized classes, where our expert instructors will work closely with you to make sure you succeed, whether your goal is to create a clothing line, design a capsule wardrobe, or just learn to sew.
